The first step to take is to go to Google and type in “fan page.” On the search results you’ll see a site that says “Create a Page.” Click on that website.
The first thing that you want to do is determine whether you want to create a page for a * local business, * brand, product or organization, or *artist, band, or public figure.
After you choose the category then the next step to take is to choose your name. It’s important to note that your page name can’t be changed so make sure you choose your name with caution.
The only way to change your name is to create a new page and you’ll lose any existing fans that you have by doing this.
The next step is to review Facebook’s conditions and terms and create your page.
On the next screen you’ll see “Create a Facebook Account.” If you are the only person on the planet that still doesn’t have an account yet then you’ll need to create one. Otherwise, login to your account.
Step 1: Upload a photo. Make sure that you choose a photo that’s clear, professional, and portrays a good image of yourself or business. You only get one chance to make a first impression.
Step 2: Invite your friends. If you have an account already then you can start inviting friends to your page.
*To make sure that your account doesn’t get suspended, it’s important to be careful how many friends that you invite at one time. Try to keep the number to 50 or less.
Step 3: You can import an email or contact list and invite them to become your fan.
Step 4: Write Status Updates. Remember to keep your updates fresh and interesting. If you’re promoting a business then it’s important to keep a healthy balance between business and personal posts.
Step 5: Add a “like” box to your website or blog.
You’ll need to promote your page in as many places as possible if you want to get a lot of fans.
Step 6: You can upload photos and post updates by setting up your cell phone.
