Can I earn a master’s degree in business management entirely online?
I’m interested in the University of Phoenix online programs but I’m not sure if you can earn a master’s degree 100% online or if I would have to take actual campus classes first then transfer to finish getting the degree.

I caution you – employers do not look on the U of P MBA and smile. Do you have any other realistic options?
An MBA, even more than most other degrees, is usually one that people get in order to advance their careers. Consider your options carefully. If at all possible, try to attend a program that is accredited by the AACSB. That’s a type of professional accreditation that is a mark of high quality.
If it is impossible for you to go to another school – even another online school that’s hooked to a more reputable “brick and mortar” university – in other words, if U Phoenix is your only practical choice, then consider them. But don’t expect an MBA from there to jump-start your career like a degree from a uni with a better rep would. In fact, to be brutally honest, my past employers would get U of P MBA resumes and toss them. They would not be considered. Thus, I warn you. If you have the opportunity to attend a university with a better rep, then do so.

Ball State
U Nebraska – Lincoln
Thunderbird (really intriguing program)
Babson
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Rensellaer Polytechnic Institute
UMass Amherst
U Maryland
A highly respected business school – one of the top in the US – which does offer distance MBAs is Duke University.
Thunderbird’s program is also fairly highly ranked, has a good rep, and is intriguing.

I want to earn a higher degree online?
I already have a 4 year degree in accounting, and would like to continue my education. I am currently working in the family accounting business, and I am going to be having a baby in about 5 months, so time wise, I cant commit to attending full time college for 2 years. Can anyone tell me any good and legitimate online schools? I looked into Florida Technical Institute and they are an excellent school, but can anyone recommend them or another school for online studies? Thank you in advance!

Sounds like you’ve got some busy months ahead of you, and online education seems to be the best option for you. Luckily, there are many great online options, as more and more institutions are realizing the demand for distance learning programs.
I would use http://www.ecollegefinder.org, as it provides a plethora of online colleges that are accredited and offer many different accounting degree programs, depending on your specific needs and goals. This site has a great search tool that is simple to use and offers very accurate results.

I am not sure if I want to work for a degree in Accounting or in Marketing. I can only earn degree online.?
I live in a town of about 15,000 people with several smaller towns surrounding it…. I am not sure which business would more successful in this area for me. I am very creative and have a graphic arts background already – so Marketing degree seems to fit. However, I am REALLY good at math and numbers. A Math degree and teaching Math to high school students is my dream career – but I cannot find an accredited online undergraduate math degree…. so accounting might be a good option. What do you think? What will earn more money or do better in a smaller community? Would I be able to telecommute?
