Does anybody know about an independent study at home program where a person can earn a high school diploma?
My sister is just beginning Highschool and were looking for a good correspondence highschool program that is accredited and challenging academically. Ive checked out keystone and laurel springs but its very expensive, does anybody know about something cheaper like around $1500-$2000 for the complete program?
Your replys are very much appreciated,

Try Alpha Omega Publishing (AOP.com). They have an academy where you will receive a high school diploma. Cost is $700-1100 per year. You will also need to take a placement test the first year cost $150. Registration every year after is only $100. They also offer electives for another fee. Either go on-line, AOP.com click on AO Academy at very top of page or call 1-800-682-7396. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

I am a 20 yr old SAHM to 2 young kids and an army wife on top of that. To pay someone to watch the kids would cost us so much money that we really can’t spare…

has anyone ever done an earn your highschool diploma at home deals?
Im enrolled in penn foster right now…and i was wondering if anyones ever completed any of the earn your high school diploma at home programs? DO they really work….how was your experience? anyone use penn foster before?
thanks

Neil Walker answers:
I don’t know about your plan, and I don’t know anyone who has used such a plan – but I do know a woman who studied for her GED at home. You earn it based on how much you’re willing to study, and you do it at your own pace. It’s not a matter of it “working” it’s a matter of how much you’re willing to study.

William asks…
Is there any way to earn a HS diploma instead of a GED at a home school?
If you already completed the required courses for a diploma stated by your district at a regular school, but took home school your last year in high school, can you get a diploma instead of a GED?

Neil Walker answers:
Of course. When you are homeschooled, your parents are the administrators – therefore, they can issue you a completely legitimate diploma.

Nancy asks…
