Mark asks…
I would like to work from home part time. Is there an Internet business that would allow me to do that?
I have heard of research companies paying for people to do research and evaluations of products from home and be compensated for it. I would like to find more info on this type of part time work.

Neil Walker answers:
Be careful. A lot of so call work at home business are actually scam.
If you are serious about earning money through internet, I would rather you consider of setting up your own internet business instead.
There are a lot of internet business models you could consider of (e.g. buying and selling domain names, affiliate marketing, auctions, selling digital or physical products, creating paid newsletter or websites and many more).
With a proper system setup and correct web marketing strategies, you could start to earn some passive income.
Find out more from the link in my profile. It will tell you how to setup a successful online business step by step regardless of your experience and background. Maria asks…
Can anyone help me find part time work that I can do from home?
I am working full time but I want to also work from home part time to earn some extra cash. I don’t want to have to lay down a wad of cash to start a business. Does anyone have nay ideas?

Neil Walker answers:
If you’re looking for a work from home JOB (not a home based business), there are lots of companies who hire for call center type positions. And don’t listen to the nay-sayers who say work from home and telecommuting jobs are all scams or that there aren’t real jobs. There are. You just have to know where to look and how to avoid the scams.
Do NOT pay for a list of jobs or pay to get a job. There are a few of the legitimate companies that, after you have qualified for the job, ask you to pay for a background check if you will be handling sensitive information like credit cards. It’s usually $20-$30 and from legitimate companies is a legit fee to pay. Other than that, there is no reason or need to pay anything if you just want a job. Some of the call center jobs, you are an independent contractor (IC) and some you are an employee.
If you want to start a home based business, there will be fees involved and business expenses. There are many legit business opportunities out there in direct sales, multi-level and network marketing. There are great companies to work with, but having a business isn’t for everyone.
For info on jobs, you can check out this comparison chart from RatRaceRebellion.com – it shows a huge list of companies, their requirements, pay, where they are etc. http://www.ratracerebellion.com/CS_Comparison.html

John asks…
How can my wife telecommute or work part-time from home?
My wife is a stay-at-home mom with our five month old son — certainly a handful. Still, we would like to try to supplement our household income by having her do some kind of part-time job (20 hours a week? 30 hours a week?) where she can telecommute or work from home. She might be overqualified, though — could this be a problem? She has degrees from a top liberal arts college and an Ivy League school, and has worked as both a high school English teacher and psychological/guidance counselor. What types of opportunities are available to someone like her? What can she do? Thanks!

There are alot of scams out there but if you’re looking to just earn a little extra there are sites out there. You just have to work at it. Here are a few sites i’m on that don’t require you to pay any money. These sites you get paid to post discussions.

Ruth asks…
Can any one recommend any decent part – time work from home?
I am looking for some spare time home-based work to boost my income. Can any one recommend anything that is not a scam or requires loads of cash upfront for little or no return.

Neil Walker answers:
Hi Susan -
You are right to be concerned about scams.
The issue is that alot of the work from home “jobs” out there are actually work from home businesses. There is a huge difference between these two things.
If you are wanting a true work from home job, be aware that many time you will be competing with people from all over the world. People in places like India and the Philippines have great English skills and will work for pennies on the dollar.
My advice is to decide what you really want.
If you are looking for serious income you will probably need to start your own business from home.
If you just want to pick up some freelance work, I recommend Odesk http://tinyurl.com/desowk . There are thousands of different jobs available.
Have fun, and good luck hon!

Joseph asks…
Are there any legitimate part-time work from home opportunities?
or are they all scams. Don’t respond with your Amway or other MLM scheme. I want to hear from real people who are making money part time from home and I want to hear how they are doing it.

Neil Walker answers:
Why not offer you services on a site like elance.com. It’s a legitimate site with companies or individuals who want to outsource work and workers offering their services. It’s got good instructions on how you can market yourself and you can have a look around before deciding if you want to join or not. You don’t have to pay any money and it’s not a get rich quick site. People from all over the world offer their services but I think the majority are from USA.
