Make Money Online - Money Making Reviews

In our previous issue, we discussed about how to use Facebook ads to take your business to the higher level. In this issue we are going to talk about social media management for better search engine rankings and traffic.

A considerable amount of online marketers are now confident that Facebook has overtaken Google as a source of website traffic. Whether this is true or not, it’s not surprising to know that many other marketers are jumping in the bandwagon to try out Facebook marketing for themselves also because this way is a lot cheaper and much simpler to set up.

Consider these tips on how to get appropriate traffic from Google straight to your Facebook business page.

- Back Link. Back Link. Back Link.

There are several ways you can lead the consumer back to your Facebook page. This is just one of the many positive aspects of using Facebook. The more Likes that you have which equates to having more Fans, the more links lead back to your Page. This is the onsite way.

In off-site optimization, you do this by creating links beyond your business page. These can be within article sites, other social networking sites, blogs and forums, and e-mail amongst many others. Articles are a great way to build links. Additionally, they can provide helpful information for your present and potential clients as well.

- Use your Business Name

While it’s good to be innovative with your profile and updates, the same does not follow for your Facebook name. Of course, you need your name to be easily searchable in Facebook. This maximizes your target keywords much better. The name should not serve as sales pitch so don’t try to stuff them too much with descriptions unless you need to differentiate your name with a similar business name. For instance, if your business name is Jonathan’s Fruits Shakes, and there’s another business name that sounds similar, how about changing yours into “Jonathan’s Healthy Fruit Shakes”

You should also do the same for URL’s. This is a fairly unique addition to Facebook features supposedly placed to make the searching for your Fan page easier. Again, don’t try to be too crazy or creative. Consider going for facebook.com/jeremiahfruitshakes. This is pretty direct.

- Your Profile Should Be Complete

Your landing page is probably one of the most important parts of your Fan Page. Your potential customers will decide to read your profile and become your fan based on how useful and appealing your page is. With this, it’s crucial that your profile is complete with all the necessary details. Here, you can be creative with the detailed text that you place in the About Page and related outside links.

Don’t forget to place keyword rich content in your squeeze page. Aim to place in words that are most searchable in your industry, so Google and other search engines can easily pick them up. Also, take advantage of customer feedback or testimonials as these will help you attract more prospects. This will add authority to your page and to your brand in general.

With all the benefits of using Facebook as a business tool, still it’s not recommended that you use a Facebook Fan page as a substitute for an official website. At most, a Facebook page is just a great addition to any business website because it acts as a community among prospective customers and clients alike.
