In every storybook, cartoon, anime, TV show, or movie there is always a good guy and a bad guy. In comic books, the good and evil side of things goes even further when your super hero has one bad guy that keeps showing up. For Spiderman it’s the Green Goblin, Batman has the Joker, Superman has to deal with Lex Luther, even Wolverine has an Arch Enemy in Sabertooth, but did you know an online marketing firm also have an archenemy and that is Google.
Google is the archenemy of an online marketing firm because they are making it harder for marketing firms SEO departments to do their job. The reason why Google is making it harder for SEO workers to do their job is because Google is constantly upgrading their search engines use automated software programs. These programs, often called crawlers or spiders, go from link to link and store the text and the keywords from the pages in a database.
These spiders is Google’s way to try and keep their page rankings as organic as possible, which is really all fine and dandy except for the fact that it makes SEO worker work on their toes and makes them work twice as hard.
The reason why the Spiders are making the SEO workers want to rip their hair out is because it is there job to store the information in different articles and catch link pattern. When they find link pattern that keeps repeating they start stopping them claiming that their spam or something like that. Now the new spiders are supposed to be more powerful than the old ones and are just more efficient.
Now, there is a little bit of controversy as to why Google is upgrading their spiders. The first is that Google uses the new spider to spot web sites that use cloaking, JavaScript redirects, and other dubious web site optimization techniques. The Second reason is Google’s extensive crawling might be a panic reaction because the index needs to be rebuilt from the ground up in a short time period. This may have been a result of spamming. Regardless of why they are doing it, Google has officially become the archenemy of SEO workers.
