When a business major graduates and enters the real world there are little roads to tour on and even less to choose from these days. When considering occupation options, a college student that understands the concept of marketing and comprehends advertising online, there is a possible future in reputation management for that student. Handling a business’s reputation is more vital to the marketing world than seriously anticipated.

The marketing world was never an option when I was looking for job. I always enjoyed the advertising online that made me laugh but never thought I could do that for a job. When I was introduced to a career in reputation management, I was lost and had no clue as to what that even meant. Reputation management sounds like something that the president would use.

Reputation management can be stretched to mean more than a few things. Obviously, reputation management handles reputation based topics but when to use reputation management is another issue. When considering reputation management for advertising online, any advertisement posted should reflect the best side of a corporation.

Advertising online is vital to a business’s success for two reasons. First, good advertisement brings in revenue and second, good advertisement that is enjoyed by possible clients can bring revenue and clients. Reputation management falls into the realm of advertising online for the simple reason that what you advertise reflects your corporation. If the product looks good, your business looks good.

Finding a career that best fit my strengths makes me feel that college was not a waste after all. I on no account thought I would ever be doing reputation management for anyone. I on no account thought that online advertising was that much in depth. After discovering the potential of a job in advertising, I think I will stick with this job choice until something better comes along; I don’t think that is going to happen though.

Greek Bites Grill Marketing Firm Looks Good

In South Hampton, NY a brand new Greek restaurant has moved in to what many locals used to know as Meson Ole, a Mexican restaurant that had unfortunately gone out of business in 2010, and has grown very quickly in popularity. The restaurant can be found on facebook and twitter for business. My first experience there was amazing, I arrived with a friend and the first thing I noticed was the valet attendant. The place was very busy, as I hoped since it had just recently opened, and the wait for a table was about 20 minutes. Simply being impatient, my friend and I had took two seats at the gorgeous marble bar and awaited service which quickly came.

I had decided on a Greek salad with grilled chicken, one of the few Greek meals that I am familiar with, and while waiting for the food to come out I noticed the beauty that is Greek Bites. The floor is a beautiful wood, which commends the all white tablecloths and blue decorations. Amazing paintings and pictures sit beautifully on the walls and there is also a virtual fireplace that sets the mood very nicely for the dining area.

When our orders arrived my friend and I didn’t say a single word to each other because of how focused we were on our food. There was a moment during our meal when we made eye contact and just started laughing at each other for being so engulfed by our meal. If you were unable to tell, my salad was delightful and it even came with a lemon and chicken soup that was equally terrific. The restaurant has been put together very respectfully.

With the popularity and interest of this new restaurant continuing to grow with each passing day, it makes sense for the eatery to look into a marketing firm to handle their advertising and social media needs. I have already liked the restaurant on facebook and since the New Year, the likes continue to excel. It is very easy to set up reservations and contact the grill conveniently online at their website, and if their media outlets are as popular as their restaurant, then the traffic to their site will also grow. The organization will without a doubt gain a great reputation in South Hampton and can last very long at their location. Why Sidney Crosby Could Use Some Reputation Management

Sidney Crosby has achieved a great deal in the hockey world. A former first overall pick in the National Hockey League draft, he scored his first NHL point in his first NHL contest. He was honored as the youngest team captain in NHL history at the age of 19 years, 9 months. He won a Stanley Cup Championship in only his fourth NHL season. Crosby scored the overtime game winning goal to clinch the gold medal for the Canadian national hockey team at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Why would such a talented hockey player require online reputation management, or any reputation management at all?

Crosby was noted as a “whiner” very early on in his career. He faced charges of diving, which led to unfair penalties called against his opponents. He also garnered disapproval for complaining to on-ice officials too frequently. Players and coaches alike leveled criticism at Crosby although some commented that an allowance should be made for his youth. The general hope was that maturity would arrive with age.

The main issue with Sidney Crosby stems from his concussion issues. After sustaining two heads to the head in consecutive games in January 2011, Crosby ended up sitting out the remainder of the season due to post concussion syndrome. He sat by as his team was eliminated from the quarterfinals of the playoffs. At this time, his reputation was still okay; he was out due to his injuries and would return when he could.

In November 2011, Crosby made his successful return to the ice. His symptoms resumed 8 games later, in December 2011 and he hasn’t played since. He has reportedly passed the benchmark test for concussion symptoms but has yet to come back to the ice. Reports emerged that perhaps his Penguins teammates were growing weary of the continuous drama surrounding Crosby. He can clearly still play and hasn’t lost his touch. So why hasn’t he returned to his sinking team?

The answers may not be black and white. Crosby is a very young man, and has done more in his short professional career than many have in less time. His commitment to his team is what’s being doubted. It seems that he might be hiding behind the pretext of concussion syndrome. For a guy who’s been a winner for his whole life, this kind of behavior is extraordinarily embarrassing for both himself and the Penguins. No question why his fans are requesting to see him on a more regular basis. This isn’t how a team captain should be acting.
